As some of you may know, my beloved hamster Kiwi
passed away a little over 2 weeks ago, and she was the greatest hamster ever. It took me a while to stop feeling the extreme sadness, and I never will get over her loss. She will always be my Kiwi
The other day, me and my girlfriend stopped into a local pet store, as she needed some crickets for her gecko, Kida. I thought I would head over to the hamster cages, as I wanted to be reminded of my missing Kiwi.
There, I saw the most adorable Syrian I have ever seen, apart from Kiwi and Nano (my first hamster). He is a stunning white, and brown Syrian, and on my approach to the tank, he placed his tiny paws on the glass, and began licking it. He sniffed my fingers from a corner of the glass that was exposed, and started LICKING!!!.
I immediately felt an attachment with him, however, I couldn't buy him, as I was not prepared. I left after around 20 minutes of playing with this guy, and I could not get this little fluffen out of my mind after.
The next day I bought a cage, and here I am today, with another hamster. I never expected to get one again this soon, however he seemed as unique as my other pets, and that is a rare find.
Now Kiwi has a little brother, and he is called Kodi. The 'K' and the 'I' inclusion is partly a dedication to Kiwi.
He will never be a Kiwi, however he will be a Kodi, and I will love him exactly the same, however in a slightly different way.
I will post some photos of him soon
